Best,

Additionally, we are requiring that any Service Pro that has traveled to countries on the restricted list to self-quarantine, and mandating that future travel be restricted for the time being.

Your safety and health are our primary concerns, so we’re taking this seriously. We will make all reasonable efforts to limit the spread of the virus. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at service@getspruce.com.

The following additional precautions have been added over the last week, and will be 100% implemented by Monday, March 16th:

  • Wear disposable gloves while in a resident’s unit for all service lines, and switch out gloves when traveling between units.

  • Use fresh mops at each job, incorporating disposable or paper products wherever possible.

  • Pay extra attention when cleaning high-touch areas regardless of the service being performed, including door knobs and light switch plates.

  • Check their temperatures each morning before entering residents' properties, and stay home if they have a fever, or feel ill for any reason.

  • Immediately disclose their status if they have been exposed to someone who has contracted the virus.

Service Pros will continue to:

  • Wash hands between each and every service.

  • Use supplies with antibacterial, disinfecting properties, unless you provide your preferred supplies.

The spread of the coronavirus has understandably raised concerns, and we want you to know what we’re doing to mitigate viral spread in your community and in your home.

We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and gather data from primary sources where possible (including the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, local public health offices, and retained consultants). We wanted to inform you of the precautions that our Service Pros always take when entering your home, as well as the additional measures being taken to ensure your safety.

A message to our customers from our Founder and CEO, Ben Johnson

As of MARCH 16, 2020 this policy is now in effect

In these uncertain times, we want to reassure you that Spruce is here to help. We are committed to providing continuity of services even as leasing offices close. If you are home during the time you have booked a service, we ask that you work with us to let the service pro in your home. If you are not going to be home, we will work with the leasing office if possible to gain entry. If you work in healthcare or another essential business and require services while you are at work, please reach out for a special discount code. We want to support our healthcare workers and all those on the front line fighting this illness. For questions, please contact service@getspruce.com.

We're Still Here For You

MARCH 20, 2020

The following markets have issued shelter-in-place orders: Austin, Dallas, Denver, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. All of our service lines fall under the essential businesses category as defined within each order, and we will continue servicing residents. Our precautionary protocols with service providers continue to stand, encouraging social distance if a resident is home or contactless service delivery where possible (ex: laundry pick up/drop off from the front door) along with the additional measures outlined in previous updates.

New Shelter-In-Place Orders

MARCH 24, 2020

In light of new CDC recommendations, we are encouraging providers to begin wearing masks when inside of offices or apartments, and especially if social distancing of six feet or more may be difficult to maintain. These can be home made out of cloth such as a bandana in alignment with CDC recommendations:

Updated Protocols Regarding Mask Usage

APRIL 13, 2020

Spruce is a business built on helping people — our customers, service partners, community partners, and our employees. To compromise the safety of any of our Spruce family would be in opposition to who we are as a company and community members. In light of COVID-19, we have enacted new protocols following research and recommendations from the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and local public health officials. We are asking our teams to make all reasonable efforts to limit the spread of the virus, and ask you to do your part, too. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at service@getspruce.com.

OCTOBER 27, 2020

Spruce

Spruce pros must wear a face mask when inside of offices or apartments, and especially if social distancing of six feet or more may be difficult to maintain.

Spruce pros wear disposable gloves while in a resident’s unit for all service lines, and switch out gloves between services.

Pros are asked to stay home if they have a fever, or feel ill for any reason, and disclose their status if they have been exposed to someone who has contracted COVID-19. We track which pros have completed which services in the event of an exposure.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

If you are home while our teams are providing service, we ask that you maintain social distance of six feet or more. If social distance may be difficult to maintain, please consider wearing a mask if you are able, or staying in a separate room while the service is performed.

Consider using our contactless laundry pick up and drop off options. Select “Outside my Front Door” as your laundry drop off location, and have laundry items outside your front door when our pro arrives for pickup. Keep an eye out for the notification when we are on the way.

Tips are not required, but if you’d like to leave your pro an extra thank you, reach out to our team at service@getspruce.com. Your pro always receives 100% of tips.

WHAT'S NEW

Wash hands between each and every service.

Use cleaning supplies with antibacterial or disinfecting properties, unless customer’s provide preferred supplies.

We will work through our partnership with your leasing office as our primary means of entry. If your leasing office is closed, or restricting entry, we ask that you provide entry assistance through a lockbox, door code, or simply answering our knock if you are home. You can provide notes in your service booking on the best ways for our team to obtain entry if your property has limited hours or access.
